Description
I am using mplayer together with mediaportal, a media center application. Using the two allows for a very convenient time-shifting TV-watching possibility. MP records the TV programme as MPEG2 on the HDD, mplayer is used to play the file. Mplayer allows for playback even if the file is still being written (e.g. while the programme is still on air). Scrolling forward is working as usual.
My problem is, that when during scrolling I reach to the currently most up-to-date point in the file, mplayer thinks we have reached the end of the file and quits. I would love to have a switch that instructed mplayer to not quit at the end of the file but go into pause instead. So, when later more content is available in the file, I could just continue watching, without needing to re-seek to the last position.
