Description
When i play a movie and press P to pause and resume few times it hangs the movie always. Using a Core 2 Duo Intel Centrino processor. Earlier version is working absolutely fine but can't play few movies.
Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
I can't reproduce with latest SVN.
You really should
1) try a newer version (rc4 is rather old)
2) provide more information (e.g. full mplayer -v output in a case where this happens)
The only issue similar to this I remember was with pulseaudio, however that has been fixed since a long time, both in pulseaudio itself (was a bug in pulseaudio) and by a workaround in MPlayer.
For OSS audio a similar thing can happen if some other program takes over the soundcard and doesn't release it again.
Running "gdb --args mplayer ..." allows you to use CTRL+C to jump into the debugger when MPlayer hangs and use "bt" to show where MPlayer is hanging (usefulness of that information varies widely though).
