Description

-identify and osd times are incorrect/missing from some formats, like .mov.
"ID_LENGTH=0"
also mpeg2 video time is a bit off, mostly with vobs.

Maybe this can help: Xine determines DVD lenght ok when MPlayer is wrong...
Maybe there could be some cross-breading with that project?

I experienced this behavior several times, mostly with DVDs. Length is detected wrongly and due to this, the progress bar won't work properly.
Seeking during playback is okay when using <, > (10sec jump), but seeking over the (wrongly detected end?) of a DVD with UP, DOWN, pgup, pgdown (1minute, 10minutes jump) will quit playback.

I also noticed that dumping a DVD to file (-dumpstream) often makes it even worse...
