Description

Hi.

I have the problem that mplayer plays cracks at the end of files.
I'm using the alsa of kernel 2.6.18.... my soundcard is a TerraTec Aureon 7.1
Universe.

You might think that this must be a sound-driver (thus alsa) related issue but
it is probably not.

Please have a look at: https://bugtrack.alsa-project.org/alsa-bug/view.php?id=2243

Where I originally reported the issue.

In the meantime,.. the cracking issue is solved (at least) in ESD and xine.

Please do not hesitate to ask me for further information (i hope your bugzilla
is configured to mail me if someone reply?!)

Regards,
Chris.

Ah, a bugtracker that does not work at all without cookies. Lovely.
Unfortunately, alsa is not my part and I found that referenced bugreport
not at all helpful, so reassigning.
You might try -srate 48000 or -srate 44100 though, just in case.

Oh I thought ao was the audio output component ;)

No that doesn't help anything :/

Nono, component ao is right, you did nothing wrong. I get assigned all kinds of
bugzilla bugs I have no clue about, that is normal, don't worry about it ;-)

Status: newassigned

Please show the output of mplayer with the "-v" option when playing some audio file.
