Description
Subutitles do quite often gets tainted by the color of the background (all versions of mplayer), say the background is redish in the area where the subtitle is displayed, the subtitle will get a redish tone and become more difficult to read, this regardless of subtitle type. Subtitle should always keep it's color clean or a subtitle would always be moveble even outside the picture (say you watch a 16:9 movie on a 4:3 display, you should be able to move the subtitle to the black border, regardless of subtitle type).
Note:
See TracTickets
for help on using tickets.
-vf expand can be used to move subtitles into black bar.
Also, -vo gl does not have this problem.
Fixing this would make subtitle rendering probably 50% slower.
