mplayer 1.0rc2 plays video fine, but in trunk everything is blueish, especially faces

I have .avi files that play fine with mplayer 1.0rc2. However, with the latest trunk, the images come out blueish, especially faces. It plays fine with ffdshow and ffmpeg, but not with vlc, which freaks out completely.

The cmdline: mplayer -v -noconsolecontrols -nojoystick -nolirc -nosound -vo jpeg -frames 30 -vf dsize=4:3,scale=100:75,framestep=3 'HeadZup-olympicflame.5MB.avi'

I've uploaded the sample file HeadZup-olympicflame.5MB.avi and the txt file HeadZup-olympicflame.5MB.log into MPlayer/incoming ftp.

I tried to do regression testing, to pinpoint the revision where things started failing, but seems like svn update -r does not update externals.

use the svn update -r DATE to checkout mplayer+externals from the same period.

That (unfortunately) goes a long time back and last time I check needs some fixing of swscaler. I am still holding some hope that something will come out of the GSoC project that will make it easier to fix.
In the mean time, use
-vf rgb2bgr=swap

works for me in svn.
-vf swapuv is the other workaround for this red>blue switch.
