Description
It seems the color mplayer uses when specifying -msgcolor are hardcoded. This is because standard messages are printed out in white assuming a dark terminal background. However, I prefer bright backgrounds with dark fonts on them.
Thus mplayer outputs white text on my white background making normal messages unreadable this way. I don’t know if there are ways to find out the preferred colors from the active terminal but an optional argument to -msgcolor to make it output text in e.g. black should be possible.
