Description
For certain videos, it seems that there is a sound artifact at the beginning of playback in mplayer, but not in other players (such as ffplay). The same file without the picture does not produce this, suggesting that there is something unusual about the way the streams are put together in the file.
A sample is attached, the same video with and without the video stream. Both files were generated with ffmpeg.
