avi Xvid playback problem when avi was muxed by Avi-Mux Gui

Description

Unlike ffplay, vlc, or any other non-mplayer based player, mplayer produces a lot of garbage when called on an Xvid avi file remuxed with Avi-Mux Gui.

Simply calling 

mplayer "path to avi"

on such a file allows to reproduce the problem.
