Description

Requesting the Wing Commander Privateer .VPK audio codec be added as to mplayer.

No new codecs will be added to MPlayer.
Please open a request against FFmpeg instead, and link it here if you do so.
Note that unless this happens to be a trivial format chances are unfortunately fairly low that someone goes to the effort of implementing a decoder.
If you have any information about the format, like what sound quality it has, sample rates used, maybe if someone even wrote a decoder for it, or a decoder exists for Windows, or if you have a way to capture the decoded data for those files that would likely help.
