Description
Hi there,
I'm using mplayer on an headless audioserver, running gentoo linux, using a 2.6
gentoo-sources kernel. uname -a output:
Linux leena 2.6.19-gentoo-r2 #1 PREEMPT Wed Dec 13 23:15:01 CET 2006 i686
Intel(R) Celeron(R) M processor 1.50GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
CDDA playback is done through an old but really good SCSI CD-writer, the Teac
CD-R56S. While playback of the disc with mplayer I get a lot of these messages
in my logfile:
Dec 14 22:46:35 audioserver sg_write: data in/out 30576/30576 bytes for SCSI
command 0xbe--guessing data in;
Dec 14 22:46:35 audioserver program mplayer not setting count and/or reply_len
properly
Dec 14 22:46:40 audioserver printk: 51 messages suppressed.
I included the link to a similar cdparanoia problem (I didn't check if my
problem also occurs when using cdparanoia, but I think so). But I don't know the
sourcecode of mplayer well, so I don't know where to start looking for the problem.
I'm willing to investigate the problematics code part, if someone would tell in
which file the SCSI communication is done.
Thanks,
Tobias
