Description
Fast forward/reverse a wma file and then return to normal play speed results
in the file position indicator resetting to 0:00 even though the file
continues to play from the chosen position, i.e. the position indicator no
longer matches the actual playing position.
Mp3 files are not affected by this bug.
Tested on Windows XP.

Reimar,
Thanks for the prompt response and sorry for the delay in getting back to you;
it took me a while to work out how to compile mplayer. However, your fix
didn't solve the problem. The indicator is still being reset to 0.
If it would still help to have access to a wma file let me know where I should
upload it to.

I'm not sure if the attached would help but this is the output from mplayer.
After it starts playing I press right arrow (forward 10s), the sound jumps
forward (not sure if by 10s but definitely forward) and the count return to 0.
I press right arrow again and playing ends.

No wonder, I posted the wrong patch... :-(

Excellent, that's fixed it.
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, but please don't change the status yourself. Currently,
REVOLVED FIXED means "patch is in CVS" which wasn't the case at that time,
although it is now ;-)
This is not how a good bugreport should look like, see
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html.
And not everyone has a wma file lie around, so a link to one would have been
helpful.
Anyway, I by chance stumbled about the part causing problems, please try the
patch at
http://mplayerhq.hu/pipermail/mplayer-dev-eng/2004-September/029068.html and
post if it works.
