Description
I am running mplayer on WinXP from the command line and if I give the proxy by typing "mplayer http_proxy://proxy:3128 mms://xxxxxxxxxx.wmv" the MPlayer crashes. I have tried out this with the mencoder and there is also a crash. Maybe these crashes are related to the same bug.
Is it possible to define the proxy settings in a config file?
Maybe you can add a proxy configuration to your GUI?

there is the http_proxy env.
mplayer recently had a bunch of its proxy stuff overhauled, so please retest svn
