Description
At the moment there's no way to pass AC3 or DTS audio to a receiver over the optical outputs that exist on all Macs shipping. It would be nice if you added the support for this -- it works in VLC and MythTV.
FYI, this ticket in the MythTV trac has code attached that demonstrates how to implement this functionality:
"Mac OS X doesn't correctly handle AC3 Passthru"
