Description
BESTplayer on windows has a great functionality - allows to set directory
to look for subtitles in. i have all subtitles out of my video directory
to reduce number of files (and a mess) and i can't tell mplayer to search
in this directory - it always looks in directory where video is so i have
to pick subtitles manually.

no exactly anywhere. only around same device. i have video on different partition than mplayer so it is problem to make a cross-device link. onlu mount --bind left, but this is not like it should be done.

ok, i have done a link /home/<user>/.mplayer/sub to my subtitles directory and it works fine.. mplayer now searches for subtitles in this directory.
but. it would be nice if there were a possibility to configure it via gui in near future..
MPlayer also looks in $MPLAYER_HOME/sub , which you can also make a link anywhere you want.
