#1972 new defect

Numbered image file sequences are encoded in wrong order

Reported by: eetu@… Owned by: reimar

Reproduced by developer: no Analyzed by developer: no

Description

When I convert image sequences (-mf option) to animation formats, mencoder either reads or encodes them in the wrong order. For the first couple of seconds the animation strobes badly, as every second frame is in the wrong place.

I've tried this with win32 and win64, on several different machines.

I've also tried several different mencoder builds, multithreaded and not.

The newest one is:
MEncoder Sherpya-SVN-r33883-4.2.5 (2011)

Also e.g.
MEncoder Sherpya-MT-SVN-r31878-4.2.5 (2010)
MEncoder dev-SVN-r27958-4.2.2 (2008)

My file sequence names are 0-padded to 4 numbers.

try wtih mf://%d-filename.jpg
(probably requires bash shell, not command prompt)
